Family medicine, in plain English.

Founded in 2018 by family doctors who wanted to practice the way they were trained — with time for real conversations, plain-language explanations, and a clinic that treats you like family, not a chart number.

    Why we started Linden

Our founders had spent 20 years inside large hospital networks and watched the patient experience get worse, year after year. Appointments shrank to seven minutes, follow-ups became impossible, and clinicians stopped having time to actually explain anything. We started Linden to do the opposite — long visits, real conversations, and a doctor who remembers you the second time you walk in.

    How we practice

Every clinician at Linden is board-certified and credentialed by Stanford or UCSF. We follow evidence-based guidelines but we don't follow them blindly — we read the studies, we know where they fall short, and we explain our reasoning when we recommend something.

    Who we treat

We see newborns, kids, teens, adults, and seniors — the whole family under one roof, one chart, one phone number. Wellness visits, sick visits, women's health, chronic disease, and most procedures you'd otherwise need a specialist for.

Care that doesn't end at the visit

Every patient gets a direct portal message line, a 24/7 nurse advice line, and a doctor who calls back within the day. Same-day urgent slots, same-day labs, and prescription delivery for established patients.

What we value

Six principles that shape every visit.

  • Time with you

Every new-patient visit is 60 minutes. Follow-ups are 30. Long enough to actually figure out what's going on.

  • Plain language

No medical jargon as a wall. We explain the science, the trade-offs, and what we'd do if it were our family.

  • Evidence over habit

We follow current guidelines, not what was taught a decade ago. And we explain when the evidence is uncertain.

  • Transparent pricing

Costs quoted before treatment, never after. We accept all major insurance and post our cash prices online.

  • Whole-family care

One chart for everyone in your household. We see the kids' coughs and the grandparents' refills in the same place.

  • Same-day access

Urgent slots held back every morning. Call before 11am, you'll be seen that day or get a telehealth visit.
