Sessions

See the theme being built.

A live build session where a site goes up from an empty portal, and an open call for people who are mid-implementation. Both run on the theme this site runs on. Both are recorded.

Next up

The build walkthrough.

One hour, monthly. The theme is uploaded to an empty portal, a preset is picked, and a homepage, a landing page and a blog listing are built from the section partials while you watch. Nothing is prepared in advance except the portal.

A build session in progress

An hour, monthly, run live. A site goes up from nothing: theme uploaded, preset chosen, pages assembled from the section partials. The point is to show the boring parts — where a setting lives, what breaks when you skip a step — rather than a finished screenshot.

What happens

  • The theme uploaded and activated on an empty portal
  • A preset picked, then the tokens under it changed by hand
  • A homepage, a landing page and a blog listing built from sections
  • Questions taken in the chat and answered while the build is open

What you leave with

The recording, and a written list of the settings that were touched in the order they were touched.

A half hour, every other week, for people who already have the theme in a portal and have hit something. Bring the page. Screens get shared and the problem gets looked at in front of everyone, because the same three questions come up.

Bring one of these

  • A page that does not look the way the settings say it should
  • A module field you cannot find or cannot make stick
  • A migration from another theme that has stalled halfway
  • Anything in the documentation that reads as ambiguous

What you leave with

Either a fix, or a clear statement that it is a bug on our side and when it is being looked at.

Every session is recorded and kept. Nothing is gated, nothing expires, and the recordings are re-cut when the theme changes enough that the old one would teach you the wrong thing.

How they are organised

  • By subject rather than by date, so a settings walkthrough stays findable
  • Chaptered against the documentation pages they match
  • Re-recorded when a release changes what is on screen

What you leave with

The same material as the live session, minus the ability to interrupt.

No. The build walkthrough is open to anyone deciding whether the theme fits. Office hours are aimed at people already building with it, but nobody is turned away.

Yes, all of them, and the recording is kept. If a release changes enough of what is on screen, the session is recorded again rather than left to go stale.

That is what office hours are for. Share the page and it gets looked at live. If it turns out to be a bug on our side you will be told that on the call.

Sometimes, if the subject is something other people would also sit in on. Write to us with the question you want answered rather than a request for a general overview.

No. There is no pitch at the end and no follow-up sequence for attending.

  • help Your question added to the running order
